ψ Mini-Research:
Professional Activity:
Currently there are five very active main projects. Please note that these Mini-Projects are in tangential areas.
1.) Rice University (Connexions),

2.) Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, http://www.claroline.net/demo/claroline170/

3.) UNESCO United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization:
This project promises to be a major world contribution from UNESCO.
[Please note this is a different project from United Nations Global University (Norway) or United Nations Virtual University (Japan).]

4.)Commonwealth of Nations, London
The Commonwealth (formerly The British Commonwealth of Nations) in the formulation of a new Virtual University.
"The vision that is proposed for a virtual university serving small states is that of a consortium of institutions, enabled by appropriate ICT applications, working together in practical ways to plan programmes, develop the required content and ensure the delivery of those programmes and support services to learners."
Click: http://www.col.org/Consultancies/02virtualu.htm
5.)SPARC Open Access, Earlham College · Richmond, Indiana
SPARC in the formulation of a new Open Access (O.A.) issues in education.
We support Open Access Publishing (OA).
"This issue takes a close look at the new open access policy at Germany's DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft or German Research Foundation). The Top Stories section takes a brief look at the problem of OA to avian flu data, the campaign for OA to geodata in the UK, two OA presses from US universities, financial incentives at the University of Minho to fill its OA repository, and the new finding by the ALPSP that librarians are much more likely to cancel journals because of high prices than because of OA archiving." http://www.earlham.edu/~peters/hometoc.htm 6.) NEW Project: The Brookings Institution: The Hamilton Project
"We believe that America's promise—that education and hard work can provide each individual with the opportunity to advance—is in jeopardy because our nation is neither paying its own way nor investing adequately in its future.
The Project's economic strategy reflects a judgment that long-term prosperity is best achieved by making economic growth broad-based, by enhancing individual economic security, and by embracing a role for effective government in making needed public investments."
http://www.brookings.edu/es/hamilton/hamilton_hp.htm
Further, other ongoing professional projects, such as those with The Brookings Institution (The Executive Education Project), The University of Oxford (Mobile Applications Panel), The University of Cambridge (CARET Project) and Stanford University (Sakai Project) exist in various levels of activity particularly in General Systems Theory and Educational Technology, Conflict Resolution and Consciousness.
There is a logic. At times various projects are ramped-up then allowed to fallow as other projects are given precidence.

"The primary goal was to understand the history of psychology and the systems in the discipline. Stimulated by Ludwig von Bertalanffy’s general system theory, a methodological explanation was applied using systems concepts. The result of the inquiry was a progressive understanding of history and systems in context.
The combination of history and general systems theory contributes to an important understanding of history in context and provides a unified for future investigations. " Lindblom
