> Dr. Eric J. Lindblom, graduate of Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco is at the
expert level in Humanistic and Transpersonal
Psychology as well as Organizational Systems
based on General Systems Theory.
The study of Organizational Behavior Psychology is interdisciplinary, involving the fields of psychology, sociology, gender studies, history, political science,
demographics, labor economics, business and management. Some programs combine the field of Organizational Behavior with Psychology as does Saybrook.
Studies leading to a Ph.D. involve a lot of research on a global scale. Dr. Lindblom's research area, of which I have been aware for seven years, has been in depth study of issues in terrorism and women's issues
particularly in cross-cultural settings such as those in South America.
Dr. Lindblom, also, has many other interests making him a well rounded person. Examples would be in the writing of Latin American music (particularly Afro Cuban) and in the writing of novels. Dr. Lindblom has nine novels in manuscript.
>
> I am aware that Dr. Lindblom intends to apply his many talents acquired in the Americas in the European theater. In turn, he expects to learn from Europe and bring much needed information back to the United States. In that light, we would be greatful to have your assistance expecially as the
research area is so poignant and our losses could be very great if this kind of work is not done.

"Stacey Bustillos: I would like to introduce myself. I am Sergio Rueda and am the Director of the Institute of Medicine and Advanced Behavioral Technology in Ciudad Juarez Mexico. I wanted to confirm our excitement in inviting Eric J. Lindblom, Ph.D. to study the situation in Juarez as a Fulbright Scholar in the New Century Scholars Program. We have a well established professional affiliation with him. We are familiar with his excellent work in psychology and organizational systems. In Ciudad Juarez, the problem of and murder is so serious. Too many students have been murdered. The research is in higher education and Juarez desperately needs the help. We need psychological research and analysis."

Eric J. Lindblom PhD, Graduate: Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.
I have known Eric J. Lindblom, Ph.D. for over five years and have supervised his learning at Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in Systems Science (a combining of European and American systems thinking). I know that Dr. Lindblom is at the expert level in European American relations. Within Psychology, his area is General Systems Theory. His striking ability is to create and render systems thinking, research methods and data analysis into clear and open learning. He solves intractable problems in the field.
The reason for the ability is in his vast experience. Prior, for the State (Maryland), County (Baltimore and Howard) and the Federal governments (F.B.I. and Secret Service), Dr. Lindblom worked in human relations development, psychodrama, Sociometry, risk management, the Psychology of conflict and criminal profiling. I believe he has been a systems thinker all along (around thirty years of intensive experience). As a multi-talented professional, he researched, taught, consulted in psychology and supervised doctoral students at some of the most well known colleges in The United States: Catonsville College, The Johns-Hopkins University, Antioch College, The University of Maryland and at The Union Institute.
Upon return to his native California, Dr. Lindblom consulted in Organizational Behavior (training trainers) to Hathaway and Associates (client: McDonnell Douglas. He telecommuted. Subsequently, he attended Saybrook Graduate School (San Francisco) in an honors program for professionals outstanding in their field (The Individualized Doctoral Program in Psychology). The emphasis at Saybrook was in Organizational Systems Psychology and Research Inquiry with a focus on Cross-Cultural systems research (a multidisciplinary area allied with Political Science). During the Saybrook years, he lived in San Diego, San Francisco and Santiago de Chile in South America.
Dr. Lindblom’s current interest is in cross-cultural communication systems science including Psychology and Political Science. He is interested, particularly, in the relationship between The United States and Europe (which, interestingly enough, is a reflection of Dr. Lindblom’s major area of study, General Systems Theory that is a meld of European and American thinking processes, epistemology and technology. It could be said, thereby, that his major area of expertise is in European American relations.

Eric J. Lindblom PhD, Spain, # 5208, Manfred Woerner Fellowship/NATO, Fulbright Scholarship applicant. Graduate: Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.
Dr. Lindblom is excellent in all categories. Dr. Lindblom is superior to many peers I have observed. He relates well to people of other cultures and persuasions and is able to teach research methods effectively to others even if it is the first time they have been exposed to new and innovative material.
Superior effectiveness: Advanced Seminar level Residential Conference/ Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center, San Francisco, California. In the seminar setting, I have seen Dr. Lindblom depict the research of highly complex organizational systems in easily appreciable terms within a short period of time. There are at least two kinds of expertise reflected here: sophisticated familiarity with academic material and highly developed research ability.
Eric J. Lindblom, PhD has many years of experience with other cultures and, in particular, Latin based mores and values regarding state terrorism. It is felt strongly that Dr. Lindblom's research experiences should be exchanged, tested and taught in a European setting such as Spain (due to their familiarity with the E.T.A. Basque separatists). In turn, Hispanic research would provide a framework within Political Science that could be used both in Europe and in the United States to add significantly to our knowledge base in combating the extreme difficulty with terrorism. In those kinds of research settings, Dr. Lindblom could be placed at the advanced level in all categories as he has the capability necessary to render the highly complex in understandable terms to colleagues and students alike.

Eric J. Lindblom PhD, Graduate: Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.
I have been aware of Dr. Lindblom’s work for eight years in the Psychology of Conflict, a multidisciplinary area that unites Psychology with Political Science. Specifically, the work has involved an exhaustive research effort into Latin American affairs centering on the military coup of 1973 in Chile. The work led to a doctoral dissertation for which I was the chair. It is felt that his research should be applied in other arenas on the postgraduate research level. Due to his ability in the creation of scientific, political psychology s, Dr. Lindblom has been invited as a Visiting Scholar to The Institute of Medicine and Advanced Behavioral Technology (Mexico). His study area, there, is the Psychology of Conflict. He is on the tenure track, upon my recommendation, to become a full professor at The Institute in 2005. In the meantime, he is a Distance Education Senior Advisor for The Commonwealth of Nations (London). Concerning the Fulbright process, he is negotiating relationships with Dr. Rogelio Alonso of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Dr. Mary Griffin of The University of Cambridge. He is, currently, a post-doctoral student at Harvard University and has connections with The University of Oxford. It is my intention for Saybrook to play a role in that international process. The first step has been to support a Fulbright Scholarship application. The second step is to develop the level of Saybrook’s interaction. The return could be significant especially in these trying times when extreme conflict (terrorism) threatens to strike. There is urgency in this kind of research. That is the motivation. Any alternative (i.e. remaining silent) is unthinkable.
